While our industrial air scrubbers clean the air, the Henry handles the “source collection” of dust and debris on surfaces.
At Edgehire4homes, we believe that drying out a property is only half the battle. To truly restore a home, you must remove the microscopic contaminants that water damage leaves behind. That is why we recommend and utilize the iconic Henry Vacuum, but with a critical professional upgrade: HepaFlo High-Efficiency Filtration Bags.
Most domestic vacuums capture large debris but “exhaust” fine dust and allergens back into the room through the rear vent. In a water-damaged environment, that exhaust could be filled with dried mould spores and fine masonry dust.
By installing a genuine Hepa Flo bag, your Henry becomes a powerful ally in your remediation toolkit:
Advanced 3-Layer Filtration: These bags are not made of paper; they are constructed from high-efficiency material that acts as a multi-stage filter.
Microscopic Capture: Similar to our industrial air scrubbers, Hepa Flo bags are designed to trap 99.97% of particles, ensuring that what goes into the vacuum stays in the vacuum.
Innovative Self-Seal Tab: When the bag is full, a “dust-free” shutter seals the opening. This prevents a “dust cloud” from escaping when you change the bag—a vital feature when dealing with mould-sensitive environments.
We integrate HEPA vacuuming into the final stages of our drying process:
Extract: Remove standing water with wet vacs.
Dry: Use our industrial dehumidifiers and high-velocity fans.
Scrub: Deploy the Heylo HD1000 air scrubber to clean the air.
Source Remove: Use a HEPA-equipped Henry to vacuum all surfaces, ensuring no dormant mould spores remain in carpets or crevices.
By combining H13 Medical Grade air scrubbing with HEPA surface vacuuming, we offer a level of protection that standard hire shops simply cannot match.
Congratulations on choosing the Edgehire4homes cleaning standard. By using a genuine Henry equipped with HepaFlo filtration, you are not just vacuuming; you are removing 99.97% of microscopic particles from your living space.
Inspect the Unit: Ensure the power cable is free of nicks and the “Edgehire4homes Sanitised” seal is intact.
Check the Bag: Your unit is supplied with a fresh, pre-installed HepaFlo bag. Do not use standard paper bags, as these will exhaust allergens back into your room.
Filter Check: Ensure the internal Tritex filter (the white fabric disc under the motor head) is sitting flat and clean.
To maintain medical-grade air quality, the bag must be sealed correctly:
Open the Head: Unclip the two side toggles and lift off Henry’s “head” (the motor).
Remove the Tritex Filter: Lift out the white fabric filter to reveal the bag compartment.
The Self-Seal Tab: If replacing a full bag, pull the integrated silicone shutter over the hole. This prevents a “dust cloud” of spores from escaping during disposal.
Install New Bag: Slide the cardboard flange of the new HepaFlo bag onto the black intake pipe. Ensure it is pushed on firmly to create an airtight seal.
Reassemble: Replace the Tritex filter and motor head, ensuring the clips “click” into place.
Slow & Steady: When vacuuming areas affected by mould or fine dust, move the floor tool slowly to allow the suction to pull particles from deep within carpet fibres.
Edge Cleaning: Use the crevice tool for skirting boards and corners—these are “hotspots” where mould mites and spores congregate.
Work with the Air Scrubber: For best results, run your Heylo HD1000 Air Scrubber in the same room while vacuuming. Any dust kicked up by the vacuum will be instantly “scrubbed” from the air by the HEPA filter.
Dry Use Only: This unit is for dry debris and dust only. Do not use it to suck up standing water or damp sludge, as this will ruin the HEPA filtration efficiency.
Storage: When finished, retract the cable fully using the top handle to prevent trip hazards.
Every Henry unit is antimicrobially sanitised before it reaches your door. We provide only genuine HepaFlo bags to ensure your family breathes clean, safe air throughout the restoration process.
