When water ends up where it shouldn’t be—whether from a burst pipe, a leaking washing machine, or a flash flood—every minute counts. Standing water doesn’t just ruin carpets; it seeps into floorboards and wicks up into drywall, leading to long-term structural damage and mould.
At edgehire4homes, our professional-grade Wet Vacuums are designed for high-volume water extraction, removing gallons of liquid in seconds.
Most household “wet and dry” cleaners are designed for small spills. In a flood situation, they are too slow and their tanks are too small.
Industrial Extraction Power: Our units feature high-torque motors specifically geared for the weight of water, allowing for continuous, heavy-duty suction.
Large Capacity Tanks: Stop spending your time running back and forth to the sink. Our industrial wet vacs hold significant volume, letting you clear a room in a fraction of the time.
Clog-Resistant Design: Floodwater often carries silt, carpet fibres, and debris. Our machines are built with wide-bore hoses and robust filtration to ensure they don’t block when you need them most.
Hiring a Wet Vac is only the first step. To fully protect your home, we recommend our Flood Recovery Bundle:
The Wet Vac: Remove the standing water and “bulk” moisture from carpets and hard floors.
The Air Mover: Create high-velocity airflow to evaporate the remaining dampness.
The Dehumidifier: Pull the evaporated moisture out of the air to prevent it from settling back into your walls.

Can I use a wet vac on a soaked carpet?
Yes. In fact, it is the best way to save a carpet. By using the specialized floor tool, you can pull water from the deep pile and the underlay, which is where most water damage occurs.
Does the wet vac dry the floor completely?
It removes 90-95% of the liquid water. The surface will still feel damp to the touch, which is why we recommend pairing the hire with an Air Mover to finish the job.
Is it easy to empty?
Absolutely. Our units feature easy-pour spouts or removable heads, making it simple to dispose of the extracted water into a drain or toilet.
